When parents buy shoes for their babies, they want a designer they can trust. Someone who can relate to them. They want a mother who they know is raising their kids right.
Enter Ayesha Curry, Stephen Curry's wife and All-American chef, mother and basketball fan. Ayesha unveiled her own babies' shoe line with Freshly Picked this week. According to Freshly Picked's website, "This collection was designed by Ayesha and inspired by her two loves -- her family and cooking!"
Take a look at the three colorways:
"Mint Chip"
"Pink Lemonade"
"Fan Favorite"
Yeah, those are Warriors colors.
Here's the trio of shoes together:
Ayesha and Stephen's youngest, Ryan, made a guest modeling appearance:
Freshly Picked is based in Provo, Utah, and in 2014, founder Susan Petersen appeared on Shark Tank. She accepted $150,000 from Daymond John in return for a 25 percent share in the company.
This is Curry's first collaboration with Freshly Picked, but last fall the brand used a pretty famous model who is related to Ayesha:
Riley gon' be Riley.
This is all a testament to the fact Stephen is not the only shoe designer or model in the family. His Under Armour Currys are cool, but look how fresh these baby moccasins are. Steph's not beating that.
Ayesha, who says she started buying Freshly Picked for Riley three and a half years ago, told WWD the shoes are "yummy little moccasins to cover those yummy little toes."
On Wednesday night, fans will see if the inventory makes it to Cleveland with her. Stephen and the Warriors take on the Cavaliers in Game 3 of the NBA Finals.
