The only punter ever picked in the first round will be without his rings.

Ray Guy, who starred in the glory days of Raiders football, is auctioning off the Super Bowl rings he won following the 1976, 1980 and 1983 NFL seasons.

Bloomberg reports (via CBS Sports), that Guy is being forced to sell the rings as part of a Chapter 13 bankruptcy case.

The pride of Swainsboro, Georgia, will have a Los Angeles-based auction company handle the sales.

Guy's Raiders Super Bowl rings, each with at least 22 diamonds, are believed to be worth between $75,000 to $90,000. The IRS, as top priority lien holder, gets to approve any sale below $63.127.88.

Guy, drafted No. 23 overall out of Southern Mississippi in 1973 despite a broken foot, led the AFC in yards per punt three times, and retired after the 1986 season having punted 1,049 times at an average of 42.4 yards a kick.

If they ever put a punter in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Guy is the guy. He has been a finalist for the Hall seven times and a semifinalist five others.
