It took no less than a remarkable late-season turnaround and a national championship, but Rick Pitino is getting a tattoo.
During the middle of the season, the veteran coach promised his team that if the Cardinals won the NCAA tournament, he would get inked up. And now that his squad has cut down the nets, Pitino will carry out his promise.
Much to the chagrin of star guard Peyton Siva, who jokingly said Pitino should get a lower back tattoo, Pitino says he'll get an image of the Louisville Cardinal with the words 2013 champions.
"I said it ... not believing this was going to be a reality but I am going to get it," Pitino told 'CBS This Morning.' "I'm a man of my word. I'm going to get it on my left shoulder."
Note to Jason Terry: this is the proper way to go about championship inking.
