After Serena Williams' victory over Maria Sharapova in the French Open finals, the 31-year-old received congratulations from all across the sports spectrum.
But it may be the kind words of one pop star that have gotten the most attention.
Beyonce posted a beautiful note to Williams on her website Monday, congratulating Williams on her win and thanking Williams for all she has done.
The letter reads as follows:
Stunt on them Serena. 31 and in your prime. You have no idea how much you inspire all of us women. I'm so proud of you.

Williams and Beyonce, who are the same age, are close friends. Williams has even performed with Destiny's Child.
Mrs. Jay-Z also posted an image of Serena to her Facebook page with the phrase "Bow Down."
