The Knicks finished a long, long way out of the NBA playoff picture, but Carmelo Anthony isn't letting that free time go to waste. As other NBA stars chase a championship, Anthony is going to work on the set of the upcoming "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movie.

The film, which is set for release next year, is a sequel to last year's feature, directed by Michael Bay.

The pictures from the set make it hard to tell what kind of role Anthony might be playing -- he's wearing a sharp suit and is dressed to the nines.

Most of what we do know about the film comes from a Grantland interview with J.J. Redick, who shared that he has already shot a cameo role for the film. In fact, Anthony and Redick are two of at least 10 NBA players to be featured in the upcoming Ninja Turtles film.

Anthony, though, is the only known player who isn't a member of the Los Angeles Clippers. Other Clippers included in the movie are DeAndre Jordan, Austin Rivers, Matt Barnes and Spencer Hawes.

Redick told Grantland that five Knicks players were included in the scene he and his Clippers teammates shot, although it isn't clear who those players were, or if Anthony was one of the five.

Redick said he was mostly in the dark on the plot and how the NBA players figure in, but it's shaping up to be the biggest NBA presence in a feature film since 'Space Jam.'
