To make its sport make more attractive to fans with increasingly short attention spans, officials at Tennis Australia introduced a variation of the game last year called FAST4. Here are the key points:
- First player to win four games wins the set.
- No advantage points at deuce.
- Play continues when there is a let on a serve.
- No seated breaks on changeovers.
To promote the new concept, Tennis Australia staged a gimmicky event by having Roger Federer and Lleyton Hewitt hit balls to each other from speedboats in Sydney Harbour before they played a match under FAST4 rules.

Watch Federer and Hewitt play from their respective speedboats:
"There's no plan to replace traditional tennis," Tennis Australia coach Craig Morris told CNN regarding FAST4. "This is a great complementary product that is entertaining for fans and fun to play."
