Dale Earnhardt Jr. looks pretty good in his father's racing suit.
On Monday, the NASCAR star posted pictures to Twitter showing him in one of his father's old NASCAR uniforms. Dale Earnhardt Sr. died in 2001 on the last lap of the Daytona 500.
Before I put this old thing under lock and key, I just had to try it on. Dads 2001 IROC uniform. pic.twitter.com/SQtUSdGmWG

The flame-retardant suit was actually worn by the late Earnhardt just two days before his death. He competed in an International Race of Champions event on Feb. 16, 2001, just before the Daytona 500.
Earnhardt Jr. was recently gifted the uniform from a fan, who had bought the suit on eBay, according to Fox Sports.
Moments ago a fellas walked up and handed me my fathers 2001 IROC uniform. Quite emotional exchange. Completely floored me. Many thanks.

"The guy bought it on eBay and just walked up to me and handed it to me," Junior told Fox. "He said he thought I should have it. I thought it was very nice. Very cool."
Earnhardt Jr. also raced in the same Daytona 500 in which his father had died, finishing second to teammate Michael Waltrip. He was not aware of his father's fatality until completing the race. It was his second season on the Cup tour, both of which he raced as his father's teammate.
Junior will now put the uniform in a safe place, but the pictures will serve as a touching, if slightly eerie, image.
