For everything he was as a player, Yogi Berra was a quote factory. And those one-liners weren't reserved for media sessions, either.
In a Twitter post Wednesday, Johnny Bench shared a telegram sent by Berra after the Reds icon broke Yogi's record for career home runs by a catcher.
It's classic Yogi: Sincere and witty all at once.

"I always thought the record would stand until it was broken," Berra writes to Bench. "It couldn't happen to a nicer guy."
Berra passed away Tuesday at 90. Bench posted another message to Twitter earlier in the day when he first learned of Berra's passing.
"Say it ain't so! I loved ya Yogi," Bench said. "RIP. Say hello to my Dad. Have a catch!"
