Allan Wade Houston was born April 20, 1971.

Houston scored 14,551 points (17.3 average) and shot 40.2 percent from three-point range in his 13-year career with the Detroit Pistons and New York Knicks.

In 1999, he led the Knicks to the NBA Finals as a No. 8 seed in his first year with the team. A series-winning shot by Houston lifted them past the first-seeded Miami Heat in the opening round.

Houston now works as the assistant general manager for the Knicks.
