April 5, 1984 Los Angeles Lakers great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar passes Wilt Chamberlain for first all-time in points in NBA history.

Abdul-Jabbar scored his 31,422th point in fitting style with his patented sky-hook shot.

Abdul-Jabbar played five more seasons and finished with 38,387 career points. Karl Malone, Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant has also since passed Chamberlain.
