September 21, 2008: In the last game played at the old Yankee Stadium, the Bronx Bombers beat Baltimore 7-3.

Johnny Damon and Jose Molina homered for the Yankees. Andy Pettitte worked five innings to earn the win. Mariano Rivera, the fourth reliever of the night, worked a perfect ninth inning to end it.

The stadium opened April 18, 1923. It was shut down for renovation in 1974 and 1975, and the Yankees played their home games at Shea Stadium.
