Hope Solo

Hope Solo wasn't likely to win a popularity contest before, but she's made another enemy from her former partner on Dancing With The Stars.

US Magazine reports that Maksim Chmerkovskiy opened up about his feelings regarding Solo, criticizing her character and proving that the pair have gone their separate ways.

"She's just a sh**ty person," Chmerkovskiy said on the podcast Allegedly. "You can have a sh**ty life growing up, but if you're a bad person, there's no excuse for that."

Chmerkovskiy and Solo were good friends after their appearance together on 'DWTS,' but Chmerkovskiy was burned by Solo when she wrote in her 2012 memoir that her dance partner had crossed the line with coaching techniques that often turned violent.

"He manhandled me in rehearsals from the start, pushing me, whacking my stomach, bending my arms roughly," Solo wrote. "One day, Maks was trying to put me in a certain position and hit my stomach so hard with his open palm that I had a red handprint there for the rest of the day."

Chmerkovskiy has denied those details, although has had a reputation for aggressive coaching with other dance partners on the show. He retired as one of the 'DWTS' professionals in 2014.

Chmerkovskiy's comments did make their way back to Solo, who responded by posting a picture to Twitter.
