Mike Ditka farted on Monday NFL Countdown. Allegedly.
The Countdown crew was making picks on the Eagles-Giants game when Ditka leaned to his left. While this may have been an attempt for a one-cheek sneak, the plan did not work out.
Don't believe it? There are multiple videos.

Public farters are innocent until proven guilty, but this clip, in which Cris Carter cannot contain himself, offers some evidence:

And this is Ditka's reaction:

Ditka denied the rumble to the Chicago Sun-Times, which refers to the incident as "Fartgate."
"It wasn't me," Ditka says. "Believe me, I’m to the point in my life where it doesn’t matter. One day I'll be happy if I can leave a fart. Right now, it wasn't me. I don’t care what they think. They can think anything they want."
Either Ditka is telling the truth and he would pass gas in public with his chin up or it is all hot air. If Ditka wants to prove himself, he should just go for it on purpose next Monday.
Do not be embarrassed, Mike. We get it. The Cubs' success means the Chicago Dogs are flowing deeper into football season than usual. The gas is worth it.
