It seems fitting that the man who wore gold his entire 20-year career would end up doused in gold slime at the 2016 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Sports Awards. When accepting the "Legend Award" Thursday night, Kobe Bryant was nothing but smiles up on stage before gold slime sprayed up out of the ground, covering his entire body.

Nickelodeon slime is a tradition at the Kids' Choice Awards, which began in 1988. But normally the slime is green. This time, they deemed it appropriate to cover the Black Mamba in gold one last time.
