Yoenis Cespedes is back to drive the Mets' offense again this season. Any teammate who comes along for the ride should be ready to feel the wind in his face.
ESPN New York's Adam Rubin came across Cespedes' custom Polaris Slingshot in his reserved parking spot at the Mets' spring training facility in Port St. Lucie.

According to ESPN's Darren Rovell, Alex Vega, owner of Miami-based The Auto Firm and the Avorza Brand, customized the three-wheeled vehicle. Vega repainted the bike/car, installed custom seas made of carbon-fiber leather and put in a custom-made 12-speaker sound system. Forged wheels and LED lights were also part of the touch-up.
Cespedes signed a three-year, $75 million deal with the Mets this offseason. He spent $68,000 for both the Slingshot and customization. Vega says this is the eighth vehicle Cespedes has had Vega customize, the most expensive being a $300,000 Lamborghini Aventador endeavor. Cespedes buys the vehicles and then has Vega make the customizations.
The reigning NL champion Mets open their spring training slate March 3 at the Nationals.
